We are now looking for you with an interest in cooking and service to develop further within this at our three summer camps in Värmland. We will train you, so you do not need any formal education; however, we value your interest in cooking, your ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and your desire to help develop our operations. We believe you are a natural leader in the kitchen and dining room, used to taking initiative and working in a structured manner, and you thrive in an environment where children and young people make up the majority of our guests.

Working at a summer camp means that you will live at your workplace during the summer, at the summer camp in Värmland. You will share accommodation with your colleagues while you work, about 5-6 people per room. The job requires that you can be away from home for at least 6 weeks during the summer.

About the company

Utepedagogik Sverige AB conducts summer camp activities at several summer camps for children and young people aged 9-16, focusing on adventure and outdoor pedagogical activities. The cornerstones of Utepedagogik Sverige AB's pedagogical summer camp operations are: safety, quality, security, and community, as well as having trained adults with a broad competence serving as good role models. Job responsibilities

As an employee in the kitchen at the summer camp, you will work to deliver meals to summer camp participants and leaders. You will rotate between different work areas such as hot and cold kitchens and the dining room, and we will train you on-site, so you do not need prior kitchen experience as long as you have the drive to learn.

The kitchen at the summer camp is the heart of our operations, and as an employee in the kitchen, your tasks will vary between cooking, serving, and dishwashing. Together with a team of 6-7 people, you will be responsible for delivering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in our shared dining room to summer camp participants and leaders at our three summer camps. Additionally, you will also receive deliveries, ensure that the summer camps have snacks and evening meals, and prepare food for hikes/outings.

The work is conducted under the guidance of a kitchen manager. You must also adhere to quality and hygiene requirements and be able to meet summer camp participants in a pedagogical and inspiring way, as we want participants to discover the different aspects of cooking and possibly spark an understanding and future interest.

Preferred experience

· Experience working in a kitchen/café

· Experience working with children

· Experience in summer camp or camp activities

· Experience in service professions

· Preferred if you have knowledge and previous experience with special diets

· Preferred if you have knowledge of cooking in outdoor environments

Employment conditions

The position is full-time. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the summer camp in Värmland from April 30 to May 3, and June 6 to 11. During the summer, you need to be able to work and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 12 to August 16.
